Autism Spectrum Disorder is associated with differences in social communication, interaction, learning pedagogies, and behavioural needs and challenges. Some people with Autism can’t communicate their needs or feelings and struggle with sensory challenges. Behavioral difficulties endanger their own safety, well-being and independent living. However, autism is a spectrum with a wide range of strengths and abilities as well. Some possess or develop effective verbal communication skills, have a normal or above-average IQ, live independently and build healthy relationships when minimally supported by the society.
