Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT)
The ABAT credential certifies that candidates have demonstrated entry-level (ABAT) knowledge, skill, and their competency in autism and applied behavior analysis (ABA) has been thoroughly assessed. An ABAT is a paraprofessional in behavior analysis who practices under the close, ongoing Supervision of a BCBA/QBA or BCaBA/QASP-S.This course is equivalent to the RBT certification offered by the BACB.

CRIA Coursework Requirements
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have completed 10+2 years of education from a National / Recognised State Board.
Additional Requirements
(The student can make their own arrangements or request CRIA for support to complete these requirements.)
  • Fieldwork Hours - 15 Hours
  • Supervision Hours - 10% of Independent Fieldwork Hours (1.5 Hours)
Fieldwork and/or Supervision can be provided by CRIA on a case-by-case basis as per availability. Please refer to the ABAT Candidate Handbook for detailed guidelines.
Qualified Autism Services Practioner-Supervisor (QASP-S)
The QASP-S credential certifies that candidates have demonstrated mid-level (QASP-S) knowledge, skill, and their competency in autism and Applied Behavior Analysis has been thoroughly assessed. The mid level QASP-S provides behavioral health services under the supervision of a QBA or above behavior analyst or a licensed or certified professional within the scope of Applied Behavior Analysis.This course is equivalent to the BCaBA certification offered by the BACB.

CRIA Coursework Requirements
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have completed a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Additional Requirements
(Students appearing for the exam can make their own arrangements for these requirements or request CRIA for support.)
  • Fieldwork Hours - 1000 Hours
  • Supervision Hours - 5% of Independent Fieldwork Hours (50 hours)
  • Supervisory coursework - 8 Hours

Qualified Behaviour Analyst (QBA)
The QBA credential certifies that candidates have demonstrated master's-level achievement in applied behavior analysis or a related health service profession, advanced applied skills through supervised fieldwork experience, professional integrity and decision-making maturity through supervisor recommendation, and competency in subject matter including autism and ABA and ethical/legal standards have been assessed through written examination.This course is equivalent to the BCBA certification offered by the BACB.
